The design of the new Central Bank of the Azerbaijan Republic in Baku creates a visible icon along the Heydar Aliyev Prospect

boulevard.

The solitary tower has an overall East-West orientation along the boulevard axis. A fully glazed atrium is attached to the street side of the tower and offers spectacular views to the city of Baku and the Caspian Sea.

The narrow side of the tower profile is a solitary figure visible from all important landmarks of Baku and creates a point of reference at the entrance to the city along the Heydar Aliyev Prospect Boulevard.

The tower appears as a uniform glazed sculpture. His form and

presence creates a significant fixed point in the Baku skyline.

The East-West oriented slab and its polygonal geometry rises then into a sculpturally twisted volume, glazed from top to bottom and open to its surroundings.
